His Name Collection

EXODUS 3:13-14

Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ What shall I say to them?”

And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ”

Throughout the bible God reveals Himself to us by many different names. Every name reveals a different part of His divine nature, person and beautiful character. He shares these names with us so that we may know Him personally, that we may get a revelation of who He is and what He does. God is so multifaceted that not one of His names can describe all of who He is but every name holds great significance.

As followers of God we are called to birth the unconditional, sacrificial love of Jesus Christ, may we never lose site of what was done on the cross nor settle for less than the life Jesus gave up on Calvary.
